For any car enthusiasts, going to a motor show is the ultimate thing. Most of the big shows are either held in the US or in elsewhere Europe although the Goodwood Festival of Speed is an excellent home grown event. But if you are unable to go to the motor shows held in Chicago, Geneva or Paris, why not check out these shows online?
All motor show will have their own websites featuring the top stars and cars of their show but online motoring magazines will also feature links to these shows and the cars they showcase.
One such show is the New York Motor Show which featured everything from Kia and Mercedes-Benz to a new Lexus.
The 2010 motor show in New York revealed the VW Polo as the World Car of the Year beating the Mercedes E-class and the Toyota Prius to the top spot. The new Lexus featured at the show was a coupe cabriolet with a six cylinder engine and 207bhp while Mercedes and Renault showcased an electric partnership designed to develop the all new smart car. Being in the United States, several American car manufacturers also showcased their new offerings.
Closer to home the 2010 Paris motor show featured vehicles ranging from a new Lotus Espirit with a top speed of 195 mph to the more modest Kia Optima where the 1.7litre diesel engine produces 136bhp.
