Restaurants and Bars in Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal
Gatwick International Airport is London’s second-largest and busiest after Heathrow International Airport. Over 30 million passengers travel through Gatwick annually and the airport is the major British Airways hub. The single runway facility has two main terminals labeled North and South, and each have a number of facilities for travelers, including hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and lounges for the traveler’s comfort and convenience. Here is a short list of some of the choices for restaurant and bar facilities located beyond security within the North Terminal:
Brasserie Chez Girard – This restaurant is located in Gatwick’s North Terminal and serves fine French cuisine, wines and champagne. A great place to relax in between flights and to eat some better-than-average airport food. The Brasserie Chez Girard is open from 6:00 daily until the last daily flights in the evening.
Garfunkel’s – This eatery features American and British-influenced cuisine and is open from 4:00 until the last flight. A comfortable and relatively inexpensive restaurant, featuring decent airport food and good service.
Yo! Sushi – Open from 8:00 – 20:00, Yo! Sushi features over 120 selections of freshly made sushi dishes which are displayed on a conveyor belt in the fashion of Japanese markets. A nice alternative to standard airport fare.
Aqua – This comfortable and nicely-styled bar offers a wide range of beers, wine and champagnes for the traveler who needs a chance to unwind a bit before or in between flights. Aqua is open 6:00 – 21:00 from October to April and 4:00 until last flight from May to September.
