Mumbai Hotels Best Accommodation during World Cup Season

World most awaited event of cricket has begun on Saturday 18 Feb. With its beginning, the hotels in the host cities of the matches are running in full capacity.

Well if the fans are looking for the last minute booking in the hotels of Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmadabad, Bangalore etc. will find it quite difficult to get confirmed or reasonably priced bookings in even one-star hotels. Many of the venues such as, Mohali and Nagpur are already booked and rooms are no longer available.

Same situation is seen in Sri Lanka and Colombo where the hotels have put the banner of ‘Sold out’. Apart from all the venues Bangladesh is the only one where cricket maniacs can still find a room to stay. India has being a hot spot for most of the foreign travelers, and thus majority of bookings have been made in the country in advance for their Holidays in India during the World Cup months.

The travel and hospitality industry are expecting a lot of profit from the event and hence most of the Delhi, Bangalore, and Mumbai Hotels have increased their rates to coincide with match dates. However, the packages may not be affordable for average Indian travelers.

According to sources, the last minute booking craze is seen in foreigners and not in Indians. A major reason that has restricted most people’s travel plans is holidays in the months of February and March, and the examination season going around.

To attract more and more tourists and cricket lovers the ideas are gushing in different ways in the minds of the travel agencies. They are offering packages that include match tickets, hotel reservations and travel arrangements. However, this should be under Rs. 15,000 to 40, 000 depending on the category of hotel and the placement of the seat in the stadium.

Apart from all this, there is still good news for stragglers that the flight tickets for domestic destination of World Cup is affordable as it is the non-travel season, particularly on domestic routes.
