Top five 4×4 vehicles
Are you considering buying a 4×4 vehicle? If so here’s a list of the cars recently rated as the top five cars to get by an online motoring magazine.
Number five is the Lexus RX 4×4 and the car won accolades for its green credentials with low overall running costs. It also has a lot of kit and there’s plenty of space for both passengers and luggage. On the negative side is the actual ride which was described as ‘short of feel’ and ‘fidgety’.
Rated fourth is the Land Rover Range Rover 4×4 which was praised for its off road capacity and great ride but which also is expensive to run and difficult to park because of its size.
Number 3 on the list came the BMW X3 4×4 with low running costs and a very efficient engine. It’s compact in comparison to some of the other 4x4s.
Runner up in the top five list is the Hyundai Santa Fe 4×4 which although it doesn’t keep its value as well as some of its rivals, is cheaper to buy and offers lots of space and power.
The overall winner and best 4×4 buy is the Land Rover Discovery 4×4 which is considered brilliant both on- and off-road. It’s spacious, comfortable and agile. The downside is that the vehicle is both pricey and expensive to run although you get a lot of expensive kit for what you pay.
