How To Build A List Of HUNDREDS In Under 30 Days
Knowing how to build a list is a crucial skill for internet marketing or any kind of online business. In this article I am going to go over the best ways to build your list, from scratch, in under 30 days.
Firstly, let me go over the three things you will need in place to start.
You will need a free gift of some kind to give away to those that opt in to your list. this should be something that meets their needs, so think about your target market and what they would want.
Maybe, like me, you have a free product that shows them how to get more leads for their business because my business is in helping other internet marketers.
Maybe your product is a dog training book for example. You are targeting dog owners. Specifically, you are targeting owners of dogs that need trained. If you could offer them a free video, or free newsletters with training tips, that would be something they would really love, actually read and would help you build up trust with them, as you have provided a bit of the solution to their problem.
Next you will need some kind of auto responder service like aweber. This allows you to send out scheduled messages to those that subscribe to your list. Put lots of helpful tips in your messages along with the suggestion that they check out your (paid) product or service. Set these up and let them run!
Now, of course you will also need somewhere for visitors to actually sign up for your mailing list. I recommend putting a pop up form on your website with your offer for the free gift. This is the best way to capture leads and build a list from an existing website. If you do not have a website you can use a one page opt in website, which simply states your free gift and has a form for users to put in their details.
Now that you have what is called your “funnel” in place you need to start sending traffic to your blog in order to get your list growing!
There are several ways to do this. My favourites are social media and blogging.
Blogging allows you to build your lost using several different streams of traffic. Google loves blogs and they get picked up very quickly by search engines. Just providing useful content to your visitors will also help build up trust and of course, build your list.
Social media has so many possibilities. Facebook, twitter, digg….there are so many different places you can send out content and use to drive traffic back to the capture page or blog you have made.
