The Signs Of A Decent MLM Coach & Mentor

To a large degree our success will be determined by the coaching that you get from your sponsor, particularly if you are new to the business. From the horrific stories that I have heard over the last few months it seems that there are a lot of so called mlm coaches that are not delivering the goods. Personally I have seen several new recruits who have been cast off by their sponsor very soon after joining and the promised ‘help’ was never delivered. This ‘take the money and run’ mentality is one of the reasons why there is still some stigma attached to the MLM industry.

Have you experienced a hideaway sponsor before? If so then I really do feel for you. My first ever sponsor was very awkward to deal with and didn’t actually seem to know what he was doing at all. At that time I was not qualified as direct distributor therefore my payments went through my sponsor and it became difficult to actually get my money! After making several phone calls chasing my payments I eventually had to pay them a visit in order to get paid! Finally I was paid.

Here are some of the things you should consider when searching for a suitable MLM coach

It’s essential that the upline you choose is already having a lot of success in their business, if they aren’t how can they teach others to have a successful business, you want someone who holds high personal values and is determined (this will be evident in how they present themselves on the telephone, in person and on company presentations). You want ideally to find someone who has a larger and more powerful vision than you do, learning to think big comes with spending time learning form these sort of folks, you will catch their vision which will make you set your goals far higher for your future. Someone with a powerful vision will be a great team leader and will have a great sponsoring system in place that you can also start using.

Make sure your chosen sponsor it not someone that just lives behind a computer, you need to be able to contact them. Regardless of what anyone says Network Marketing is all about connecting with other people and even if you are operating mostly online you still need to be willing to make phone calls! I would recommend that you get in contact with anyone you are thinking about partnering with, get them on the phone or ask them to call you back. This is a great way to determine who you are dealing with and confirm that they are actually real. Make certain to establish between you what training will be offered to you once you have joined up.

From my experience I have always found the best uplines to be those that give the most value to their prospects before they sign up. You feel like a guru yourself with all the knowledge that they pass on to you before you join their business. Rather than thinking about how much money they can make out of you, these uplines will be genuinely concerned about your personal success in the business. There are many mentors out there who want to see your success, obviously because they will make money but also because they just genuinely like helping other people to reach their goals and dreams.

There are certainly some unscrupulous people out there and many scammers so you need to be on your guard when seeking an MLM coach, but for sure there are a good number of successful reliable mentors out there.

The only reason that I was able to be successful in this industry is because I found a genuine mlm coach who taught me what it really takes to be successful. James Hicks is an Attraction Marketing coach and teaches how to successfully create your own online empire, more information and free training can be found at his mlm secrets blog.
