Spring Rides In Leather Jackets
When riding on a mens motorcycle jackets, there are so many other bikers out there with you. It seems that at the first hint of weather that has a warm tone, out come the Hondas, and the Harley-Davidsons and the Yamahas that have been sadly stored out of the snow and ice. Motorcycles let one savor the freedom that spring brings after the cold and dreary winter. It is a way to smell the blossoms, feel the breeze, see the renewal of life that the confines of a car or truck just can’t give you. It is in a word, addictive. But in a better word, delicious. In order to experience this delicious spring weather, it is necessary to dress appropriately; otherwise you will experience mostly blue lips, frozen hands, and joints aching from the wind chill factor that the riders of motorcycles sometimes endure.
A good helmet protects you from many of the elements, but there are states that don’t require helmets, and riders that still prefer the titillation of senses that occurs on a lazy, back road drive in the country. They still need ear and eye protection, and a half helmet is smarter than none. Good boots keep your feet from freezing in the wind and protect from the damp conditions spring brings. But every biker’s favorite spring gear is the leather jacket. Leather jackets come in many colors, many sizes, and many designs. I have had many jackets in my riding days. Most of them have been worn until the leather is actually worn through, stained, and torn from being my protection and friend. And like a good friend, it is hard for me to get rid of one. I have half a closet of leather jackets to choose from on those spring rides. Right now my favorite is the Harley-Davidson classic.
I was given this jacket as a birthday present. It fits me like a glove, like it was made for me. I look fearsome and “Don’t mess with me,” and my brothers of the road give me a thumbs up when I pass them. It keeps me warm and has lots of zippers for my riding stuff, and cool chains. In it, I am awesome. So, all you men out there, this spring, when you ride by me in my Harley Davidson leather jacket, feel free to drool. I used to, in the days before my birthday.
