Evil With A Changing Face – Transformers Megatron
If you keep yourself informed and into the latest box office blockbusters, then you are no stranger to the Transformers series of movies that have been released. While there are only two installments, you can be assured of more to come in the future. You might not know that these movies were preceded by comics, books and a few animated series. There are many Transformers that you could benefit from knowing in terms of understanding the movies better. Other than Optimus Prime, perhaps the most important to know is the Transformers Megatron.
For this content and the interest of space restraints, I’ll not dig into some of the additional Transformers to a higher degree than is essential, and so that you are able to concentrate entirely why Megatron is crucial to the franchise.
A lot like the Autobots led by Optimus Prime, Megatron represents a really mighty and valued leader. Through the line of numerous comics and installments, it became apparent that Megatron was the most efficient and revered boss that the Decepticons had ever had. He reigned through fear and by fierce outbursts. He embodied a vicious military force in the warfare on Cybertron too.
You see, both factions (the good and the bad) are from Cybertron. This entire story from the occurrences on this planet and the fights they campaigned afterward produce a standard good vs. Evil base. The film just generates a glance into the warfare that the Autobots and the Decepticons have been combating for a long time. Megatron desires a lot of things. Among these things that he desires is the Allspark that’s upon Earth, because this is the instrument that animates machines.
Optimus Prime and Megatron were once friends it is assumed, although now they are always up at arms. It is believed that Optimus is saddened at the reality of what the Autobots and Decepticons could do together, where Megatron just finds it all amusing. Their bad blood began when Megatron turned on the bots of Cybertron and formed the Decepticons.
Megatron initially went to Earth, even in the new movies, to pillage its resources to sustain Cybertron. He went with a group of his most loyal Decepticons. He was followed there by Optimus Prime and his most trusted Autobots who intended to stop him. The only way that Cybertron could become the planet that it used to be, it would cost Earth its life as collateral. Optimus Prime came to save us from destruction. Megatron would kill us all in a moment for his selfish purpose.
I can only hope that you understand who Megatron is. Much like any Transformer, there is more than meets the eye. There have been glimpses of compassion and loyalty, but for the most part it is brutal leadership by fear and intimidation.
