Mercedes C Coupe for Geneva Motor Show

Mercedes-Benz has finally revealed more details of its all new two-door C Coupe scheduled to be showcased next month at the Geneva Motor Show. In the UK markets Mercedes will start offering the new C Coupe in three petrol engines and two diesels this June.The Mercedes C Coupe will be powered by a 1.8-litre petrol tuned to produce 156 and 204bhp. The car will also get the option of the range-topping 3.5-litre V6 motor churning 306bhp and 272lb ft of torque. The diesel unit will be a 2.2-litre motor tuned to produce 170 and 204bhp.

The car will be capable of doing the 0-62mph sprint in six seconds with a mileage of about 41.5mpg.On offer is will be the AMG sports pack as standard including features like the AMG body styling, sports suspension and speed-sensitive steering.The new C Coupe has hints of its saloon siblings in its looks. It comes with full four seats with multi-link independent rear suspension, and three-link McPherson struts up front.

The car also gets the ‘Agility Control’ that adapts to the changes in driving conditions.With the C Copue the battle in the segment becomes worth watching as now the BMW 3-Series Coupe and Audi A5 get a worthy counterpart. The carmaker just launched the G 55 AMG in India for a whopping Rs 1.10 crore. The car is powered by a supercharged 5.5-litre V8-engine developing 373 kW/507 hp and a maximum torque of 700 newton metres (Nm). The G 55 AMG breaks the 100 km/h mark in 5.5 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 210 km/h.
