Just Consider
When you are getting ready to plan an area, be it build new or remodel, you will have a lot of factors to consider.
What shade of paint do you want to use? Something warm and appealing, may be cool, something nondescript, or do you want to be bold? Should the furnishings come first so you match the paint to that? Would you like something formal, or something relaxing. Lots of smaller chairs or maybe one large sectional? Should there be one over head light, or lots of interesting lamps, or perhaps recessed light fixtures?
Of course, the room in query may answer a lot of those inquiries. You won’t put a sectional inside a kitchen – or I wouldn’t think you would. It’s your space…
A lot of rooms, just based mostly on what they are predetermine quite a lot of things. And how big they are. Living rooms nowadays come in two varieties – formal and den. A formal living room is likely to have sofas and chairs that are comfortable and designed for just sitting in them. Whereas the couches and chairs in a den may tend to be bigger in the seat, allowing one to curl up in them, or stretch out. Where lamps could be a lovely addition to a formal room, giving off light to conversate by, while recessed light fixtures may be much better in a den. They are up out of the way, could be set to dimmers and arranged to not glare on the TV set.
Foyers are very popular in homes. Maybe you have a painting featured in that space, or a fantastic sculpture as the first thing guests see. Maybe it is a more user friendly space with a bench and coat rack. Recessed light fixtures are great here no matter what the use. They are out of the way, leaving you more room in this tiny space. They will provide whatever sort of light is required here. Whether or not it’s basic lighting, something more specific for those artworks or more task oriented to help you get your shoes on and off.
Each space in your house could be as unique as you want it to be. With all the endless options out there it is hard to be a copy-cat!
