Clear Your criminal record
When a clear your criminal record has been expunged, it’s physically destroyed by law enforcement agencies (or by the police department). In many cases, the records with the local or state agencies are also destroyed. It’s like that record had never existed.
For starters you have to be eligible to apply for clearance of your criminal conviction. You are eligible if you’re done with your probation or parole and if you agreed to all the orders decided by court and if there aren’t any pending recent charges that have your name on them. In case that you’re not on probation then you have to wait one year to pass from the date when your judgment was brought. You must be careful not to break any laws during that period and to avoid getting charges for anything.
Expungement of a clear your criminal record by vacating the conviction does not destroy or seal the file. However, it is possible to destroy, or expunge, an arrest record if the eligibility requirements are met. When an arrest record is expunged, the booking photos and fingerprints are destroyed and removed from the police record.
