The Law of Attraction for Politics
The first big thing that happened when George W. Bush became President was a terrorist attack. The first big thing that happened when Barack Obama took office was a Financial Crisis. The world thinks these are coincidences, but the enlightened mind could have easily predicted this. It is the law-of-attraction at work. The right-wing (Bush) is preoccupied with evil and terrorism. They were talking about the “War on Terror” long before Bush took office. So what will they attract? That’s right: Terrorism. The left-wing (Obama) is preoccupied with poverty and inequality. They were talking about the “struggle against poverty and “evil” Capitalism long before Obama took office. So what will they attract? That’s right: A massive financial crisis.
I know how this is difficult to see from a time-linear cause-and-effect understanding of reality. “But didnt terrorists strike first, and then Bush came to the rescue?”. “But didn’t ruthless, bloodsucking Business People create the crisis and then Obama came to the rescue?”. But seen from an energy-perspective, it is not so. Politics talked themselves into these two respective crisises. The victim of a problem was, subconsciously, participatory in creating the problem and now benefits from the problem by “coming to the rescue”. This is the oldest Ego-Boosting game on the Planet.
The divisive negativity and bickering of politics created the events that these politicians then fight against. Just like we do it in our private lives to keep ourselves busy, we first create a problem and then go look for the solution. Unenlightened Politics require a justification for their work. The more unenlightened the Politician, the more negative that justification has to be. Without the terrorist attack, Bush may have lacked a sense of purpose. Without the financial crisis, Obama may have lacked a sense of purpose.
In an enlightened society politicians do not focus primarily on problems and enemies, but on goals and preferred realities. Governments are conducting too many studies on what-was and what-is, at the expense of what they would like things to be. That’s why the world progresses so slowly. But this is by no means the Governments “fault”. The Government is only a reflection of their people. It’s not a conspiracy, it’s just Ignorance – Ignorance of the law of attraction.
On societies future level of Consciousness , running smear campaigns against the other party or politician will not pay off. That’s going to be less and less effective in the decades to come. What society is ready for is focusing on one owns visions instead of belittling the visions of the “other side”.
Politics of the Future, in a more enlightened world, will be more balanced, moderate and loving. Countries in which this is already the case are the countries with the highest standard of living regarding the health of its citizens, life expectancy, happiness, and economic situation of all of its people. Look up the “Human Development Index” of various countries in Wikipedia and then compare it to the attitude of its citizens, politics and newsmedia, and you will see the correlations. The proper inner attitude creates health, joy and prosperity. It is my view that the next few hundred years will create a fairly good standard of living for each and every human being. It will not be a perfect society, because a “perfect” society is a stagnant and totalitarian society without contrast and diversity. But it will be a society that focuses more on visions and goals than things to worry about. When there is something to worry about, rather than repeating the worry over and over and over again, society will focus on solutions and visions.
