With more and more conference sites appearing out of the blue on a daily basis, you will need to have conference facilities that would set you apart from the rest! Will you be able to offer ample parking? Nothing is more aggravating than a meeting or seminar being stopped halfway through because the projection screen is suddenly refusing to work! And if you make use of an inferior microphone (especially applicable in bigger conference rooms) you will end up with irritated delegates who cannot hear what you are saying.
Next on the list is the matter of food and drinks. Will you have an in-house kitchen to do the catering for the delegates? Or would you prefer making use of outside caterers to handle this? From the moment that the parking attendant shows the delegate where to park, to the waiters at lunch and the workers helping with the technical areas of the conference, conference goers expect fast and friendly service! Coach your staff properly and make sure that they know how important proper customer service is!
Cost is not everything, but it does play a role in a customer’s decision to make use of a particular venue. Ensure that your conference packages offer value for money and that customers know exactly what to expect!
With appropriate conference facilities, good service and warm and friendly staff, there is no reason why your conference venue cannot be successful!
