How And Why To Be Free Of Sadness
Sadness may feel like a part of you that is always there, never letting go, but it is only a state of being and not your true self. So how do you find your way out of it? What can bring you back up and help you to feel happy again? How do you let go of sadness? As crazy as this might seem, any emotion we hold onto and identify with has been a choice we have made. How you see yourself, believe yourself to be, even if it feels out of your control, was at one point a choice.
Of course we all go through emotions, different periods of feeling a certain way. But somewhere along the line there was a choice. Like saying, okay this is how I will be. Once that choice is made, it is like giving up your real self so that you can keep feeling what you decided was right. Who would choose to feel something they didn’t like or want? A lot of us do because we don’t realize we made the conscious decision to do so.
The amazing part is that somewhere the choice was made and now the choice can be made to let go of the emotion. Now it is true that an event or moment may have spurred the decision on. The choice comes from somewhere and by remembering and going back to that point you can understand why. But the most important thing is that the idea formed and made you believe that this is the issue you have. But it is not your issue. We are meant to exist without sadness or any other issues. If we believe it is our choice to let it go, to be who we really are, we are on the way to being free, not only of that of idea of ourselves, but free to be our true self.
