Arizona – A Girl’s Best Friend
There is nothing more refreshing than sitting by a resort pool with a drink in one hand and a good book in another. There are few things I find more comforting than partaking in such a ritual, and trust me I have tried all other combinations: swimming, chatting with people from around the world, eating. Yet, none of them seem to satisfy. For this reason, I always take a trip to Arizona with my girlfriends around the same time every year, Winter. Winter, you say? Yes, Winter. You must understand that I live in Canada, one of the harshest winter climates known to man, or so I am told. Thus, an Arizona winter is as delightful as our Summers. No wonder so many people take off to the southern states when the snow begins to fly back home. I fully understand this ritual now.
Arizona resorts are some of the most relaxing that I have ever had the privilege of visiting in my life. Although the locals may complain of the temperature in Winter, this is only because they have become used to it. For someone like me, it is as though I am sitting on the beach in some exotic country on a beautiful day. While many would assume that Arizona hotels slow down during the Winter months, you must remember that there are plenty of other individuals out there that partake in the same ritual as I do. Thus, it is safe to say that if you visit any of the Arizona resorts there will be an abundance of activities to partake in, along with numerous Canadians.
I am getting excited about my next trip just writing this. I can’t believe that I waited until I was 32 to start doing this. I don’t know how I used to make it through our frigid temperatures prior to discovering my need to visit the numerous Arizona hotels that I frequent on an annual basis.
