HTC Wing
Everyone likes slider smartphones. It looks cool even if it is a little bulky. A slider smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard is an added bonus. HTC always makes cool smartphones; the slider designs they make are particularly cool. HTC Wing is one of the latest smartphone made by HTC. It is not only a touchscreen phone it also is a slider with a full QWERTY keypad. This certainly makes this an all-rounder phone in which you can mix business and pleasure. The keypad is spacious and easy to type on and it also has a good feedback and the backlit keypad helps when typing in dark lighting conditions. The touchscreen is quite good; it is responsive, crisp and bright. It comes with Windows mobile 6 operating system which I consider as a disadvantage because there are Windows phone 7 and Android operating system ruling the market right now. But that minor problem aside, windows mobile 6 is a good operating system and it also has many apps and games available for it.
HTC Wing comes with a 2 megapixel camera with fixed focus lens and self-portrait mirror which is good for taking some photos. The camera is good for photography under good lighting conditions but it would not take good photos in dark lighting conditions. This phone has the ability to email the photos right from the photos application to your friends and family. HTC Wing is powered by 201Mhz Ti OMAP 850 processor; it has 128 MB ROM and 64 MB RAM memory. The display is 2.8 inch QVGA and it has a quad-band GSM, EDGE signal. It comes with USB 1.1, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0.
This phone comes with mobile Internet Explorer and Outlook email software preinstalled. It also has push email service so you can get emails pushed to your phone as soon as it arrives on the servers. You can use Skype for long distance calls. There are music and video player and a radio for entertainment purposes. You can expand the memory for adding additional songs, videos and documents by adding a micro SD card. The form factor of the HTC Wing is very suitable for a business user yet not too boring.
