Adele Delighted With Her VH1 ‘Unplugged Performance
She is a two time Grammy award winner, has just dropped a new album that has debuted at the number 1 position in the largest music industry of the world, has millions of admirers stretched over and above diverse continent, and has achieved the pinnacle of the fame and fortune already, but what Adele has always wanted the most was a session at the famous ‘VH1 Unplugged.’ It seems as if she has fulfilled her ultimate desire now for the reason that the London-born singer has made her ‘Unplugged’ debut, which has been scheduled for a worldwide broadcast on VH1.com tonight.
The 22 year old Adele has already achieved tons of achievement in her brief musical career, and it might seem that her ‘Unplugged’ emergence would be just another event of due importance to her, but the reality is that the Briton had been super excited by the opportunity, and in fact it was a childhood hope of hers to mount the coveted stage and perform her musical magic.
The level-headed singer told MTV that Lauryn Hill’s ‘Unplugged’ performance was the moment when she fell in adoration with the program. She said that in spite her young age at that time, Hill’s song ‘Miseducation’ inspired her and influenced her musical persona. She said that other than Hill’s music, her basic and unpretentious personality struck her the most. She compared that feeling to the one she experiences when she listens to the legendary soul singer Etta James. Adele feels that the two have an emotional connection at some level and added that she has developed an unknown familiarity with the former Fugees member through her music.Having been granted the Oppurtunity
to perform on a platform where her idol once performed, was dreams come factual moment for her, and Adele is grateful for the honour bestowed upon her.
The VH1 blog has already launched rolling snippets and limited clipping of the full program that includes Adele’s soulful rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like a) Natural Woman.” Adele has performed material from both her albums on the ‘Unplugged’ stage, and judging from the sneak peak clippings, it seems as if the Chasing Pavements- singer has been intensely successful in reigniting the spirit of Franklin and her personal favourite Hill.
Adele further shows various characteristics of her singing action by getting emotional during her “Someone Like You” performance, while turning the heat on during “Rolling in the Deep.” If you’re an Adele or Aretha Franklin or even a Lauryn Hill fan, you cannot afford to miss this multi flavoured once in a life time opportunity.
