When you complete a thorough warm up, your body will be able to gradually improve the blood flow to the areas that need it and then redistribute it back during your cool down which gives the brain time to alter to the flow changes.

Breathe deeply throughout any weight lifting as well as heavy exercise. Your brain requires oxygen to effectively function in order to survive. Most individuals will hold their breath if they do something that is hard but all that does is lower the amount of oxygen that gets sent to your brain.
