What causes golf cart tipping and hurting driver in Wellington
Here is the latest news from Wellington: a senior from Miami suffered serious injuries Saturday when a golf cart he was driving tipped, pinning him on the ground. What cause the golf cart tipping on earth? There have been conflicting reports about this accident. Some said, “Just for its incorrect driving.” And some said, “Maybe it is because the golf cart battery has low power and is not able to supply enough power then causes it tipped.” This is a factual account of the accident.
It is said that Ronald K. Schafer, 69, was driving the golf cart on a private, dirt road on Pierson Drive in Wellington, with two passengers from New York aboard. One passenger was 52 years old and the other 73, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Schafer “began violently steering the vehicle back and forth as he accelerated,” possibly for medical reasons, the Sheriff’s Office reported. The cart overturned, partially pinning Schafer. One passenger had minor injuries; the other was not injured.
Schafer was hospitalized with critical injuries at Delray Medical Center. His condition later was downgraded to serious but stable. Early Saturday evening he remained in the trauma intensive care unit.
We will get the truth after checking the golf cart and interviewing Schafer. It is well known that maintaining the golf cart battery is very important for a golf cart. Except the battery, I can not think out anything may cause the golf cart have an accident. Of course, it doesn’t include the personal factor.
