Ranthambore National Park
Ranthambore National Park is located near Jaipur, Rajasthan, in Sawai Madhopur district and is one of the biggest national parks in Northern India. One can view the Aravalli range and Vindhya Hill range as the forest is at the junction of the two. The area is around 400sqkm. It is also one of the best tourist attractions as the famous Ranthambore Fort is also situated at the top of hill in front of the park. There are also many water bodies which will provide relief to the inhabitants of the jungle even the visitors also sometime. It was started as a sanctuary in 1955 and later it was declared as one of the Tiger reserves in 1973 and became a national park in 1980.
Initially there were 44 Tigers recorded in 1982 which then decreased to 26 in 2005. The efforts to protect the tigers have been seen as the numbers increased to 34 in 2008, which was a significant increase in number of Tigers. Also there are more than 270 species of birds and other animals also. One can see the Tiger easily in daytime roaming in the jungle, mostly near water bodies during summers. There are also many other animals which you can see while your visit to the park are Jackal, Mongoose, Laziness gestate, Leopard, Graylag Goose, Woodpeckers, Amerindian Hoar Hornbills, Ordinary Kingfishers, Bee Eaters, Cuckoos, Parakeets, Asian Area Ridiculer and Owl are some of the species commonly seen here.

The most exciting journey in Ranthambore National Park is the Tiger safari and Rhino safari. There are also very beautiful places near the park where you can go and see beautiful lakes, forts, temples and many more places.
