How Are Backlinks Important for Your Website?
Well I guess anyone that knows anything about SEO and reaching page 1 will come to an agreement with me when I say that backlinks are a vital factor in achieving high search engine placement. It is of course beneficial if you can get them for no cost.
To quickly explain, a backlink is when all’s said and done another link from a different website that points to your website,they are also know as inbound links. Basically if you post an article and there is a link in it to your site, that is a backlink! Seems simple enough right? Another example is if you asked someone to put a link on their site to yours.
So getting these incoming links isn’t that difficult but its important to get your link juice from relevant websites. Lets say your site subject is travelling the world, getting your links from other travelling sites will bring you better results, because search engines love meaningful content. So every backlink that comes from a relevant site will be more effective. Relevant backlinks are far more impacting in a positive way.
If you are willing to work at it you can dominate the search engines for most key phrases, evidently there are some key phrases with extremely high competition already but there are still many, many, many you can still tackle. It’s really a case of who has the most backlinks, so if you want to beat another site, encourage more inbound links then they have and on condition that your content is relevant to your chosen keyword, it’s probable you would beat them.
So its not rocket science. It’s most important to be constant, Google in particular jumps for joy when they see lots of links appearing like clockwork, it will make Google become very interested in your website and therefore will rank you higher. If you just build a few links and then discontinue Google looses interest and that must not happen!
It’s a real drag having to contact other webmasters to aquire links and it can also be very time consuming to get your articles published in the directories, Hours I have spent doing this before, it’s not pleasant! So really what we need is an automated solution where we can do the work once and then just forget about it and know that our links will be built for us. Or even better would be to have our backlinks built for us on Auto-Pilot so we don’t have to do anything!
