The Grand National is only days away now, but who will you back to win the biggest event of the year?? Throughout the year there are millions of bets placed, many down to odds and knowledge of horseracing, however for this one event there will be an average of 500-600 million people watching, and a lot of these people will never bet on any other race throughout the year. Many choose a name which has a connection to them, or a horse and jockey wearing their favourite colours. Then there is the amazing course which the race is held on, the most difficult race of the year, open to any of the runners! We can see why they say its anyone’s race!!
The Grand National takes place this Saturday, at Aintree racecourse just outside London. There will be 40 runners lined up for the race, but only those at the top of their weights will make it to the big race on Saturday the 9th of April. The field will be declared about 48 hours before the race is due to take place. So who will you be backing for the big race, here is the current list of runnners;
