How to import m2ts or YouTube video with iMovie
iMovie ’11 (Version 9.0) was released on October 20, 2010 as part of the iLife ’11 package. It has the ability to make trailers for home movies, more control over audio, instant replays, flash and hold, facial recognition, news themes, and the ability to watch the video on a Mac, iPad, iPhone/iPod touch, Apple TV, Facebook and YouTube. It now supports the AVCHD Lite format.
Apple worked with Abbey Road Studios in London, England to bring original music/film scores to iMovie ’11. Most notable is the music used in the “trailers” feature provided by the software.
However when you want to import M2TS to iMovie or import YouTube video to iMovie, you will meet problems as below.
Q1: Getting Clips into iMovie. Easier Way?
Is there an easier way to get videos in imovie instead of waiting 10 min for a 10 min video? I am doing highlight tapes and Im only going to be using 5-10 seconds out of a 6 min video. (Apple discussion)
Q2: How can I add clips from YouTube onto iMovie?
I am making a documentary for a school project and I can not seem to find a way to get clips form YouTube onto iMovie. I would think that it’s possible, but I’m not quite sure. If anyone could help, it would be gladly apreciated. Thanks!
Luckily, a friend of mine recommended me a video to iMovie Converter for Mac which he tried very great. I download the free trial and found it’s very easy to use, and can improt dvd, avi, 3gp, 3g2, mp4, flv, mkv, tod, mod, mts, m2ts, tr, ts, trp, wmv, asf, m4v, ect. to iMovie. Then I bought it without any hesitating. If you have the same problem with me, maybe you can try it. Learn the details about how to import YouTube to iMovie or import M2TS to iMovie! Hope to help you.
