New shop with new hope
My hard work is finally paying off as my business is picking up and I’m making profit rather than putting money in. I recently bought a shop that was selling bicycles but wasn’t doing too well, I wasn’t surprised as the shop looked very old and gloomy and all his stock was quite old.
The first thing I did when I received the keys to shop was give it a proper spring clean, renovate it and I put the last owner’s old mountain bikes for sale. I was hoping that with the bikes on sale it will sell quickly, so the shop is empty for the new stock that I have already ordered.
Once all the old bikes had gone, I re-organised the shop, so it was more appealing to customers and also got a stand for the popular bike which I wanted to be eye catching. My family helped me with everything, without them I couldn’t have come this far.
Before I officially opened the shop, I started advertising it as I wanted people to be aware of the shop and what we were offering. To attract the customers I got a leaflet made that had a 10% off voucher, so if a customer was to buy a bike in the first week after the grand opening, they will receive the discount.
I was really shocked when I saw customers waiting patiently for me to open the shop door on the grand opening day and I sold over 20 bikes which was all down to the discount voucher.
