Worst week ever

Monday is usually a calm day at work but this morning there was panic in the staffroom, this whole week we will all be under the watchful eye of Ofsted- Office for Standards in Education. I’m feeling very relaxed this year so watching everyone else panic is quite funny.

We all got told which of our lessons will be watched by an inspector, I was really hoping it was my maths lesson as the children are so well behaved but it ended up being my worst class. Even though my worst lesson was chosen I still didn’t feel nervous or worried.

Lucky for me, I was being watch today in my forth lesson which means I will be able to relax for the rest of the week. During my lunch break I’m going to plan every minute of my lesson so I know exactly what to say when and be ready to answer the silly questions the children will ask today.

It’s my turn to be watched but I got a message during lunch to inform me that the inspector is stuck in traffic; this gave me a chance to have a quick word with the children. I started my lesson like usual, everything was going good but then I saw the inspector parking his Suzuki in London and I started to feel a little scared.

As he came out the car with his large black folder I felt my throat dry up, knees getting weak and that’s when I started to panic.
