The machines, which operates World of Warcraft
Game company Blizzard has recently shared the resources required to provide 11.5 million World of Warcraft player with a good experience.
Total running World of Warcraft on the entire 13 250 blade servers with 75 000 processor cores and a total of 112.5 terabytes of working memory. Exactly what hardware involved is unknown.
These servers are located in a total of 14 data centers scattered across three continents and will keep the load balanced and response times short. Four are in the U.S., seven in Europe (which is in Sweden) and three in Asia and the shot of a total of 68 people. This compares with 2004 when Blizzard only used a single data center in U.S. for the game’s beta testing.
The actual infrastructure has been built up by extensive cooperation, including operator AT & T in the U.S., which is said to account for the data center space, monitoring and management of equipment. In Europe, working mainly with Blizzard TeliaSonera International Carrier, but also with Level3.
It operates in addition to World of Warcraft even gaming service Battle.net for titles Starcraft and Diablo,wow power leveling,which also requires a lot of equipment not listed here.
In the current situation using the company more than 20 000 computers, 1.3 petabytes of storage and employs over 4600 people.
