UK and Euromillions Rollovers this week
Two lottery rollovers this week
Well once again the United Kingdom is going lottery rollover crazy, with not one but two big rollovers this week. Yes that’s right tonight’s UK National lotto draw is a double rollover, and then on Friday we also have a euromillions lottery single rollover draw.
So today is Wednesday the 13th of April 2011, and the estimated double rollover jackpot is ?10 million. Not bad hey, imagine winning a cool ten million pounds talk about changing your life. However with ticket sales being very high at the moment, the actual jackpot figure tonight could be more like ?11,000,000 when the final count is done.
The results from last Saturday (09/04/2011) were 06, 08, 17, 21, 39, 47 and the bonus ball was 22. This was a single rollover draw after no one managed to match all 5 main numbers and the bonus ball from the draw before. That draw took place on Wednesday the 6th of April 2011, and the results for that draw were 07, 11, 13, 14, 38, 41 with the bonus ball being 45.
Double UK National lottery rollovers are quite rare, and triple rollovers are even rarer. We will see a triple rollover if no one wins tonight’s ten million jackpot. Even better if it does indeed go to a triple rollover, and no one wins that we will then see the first ever quadruple UK lottery rollover in the history of the game.
Rollover games are becoming more and more the norm in the UK, as recently we have seen a 6x euromillions rollover game, and already in 2011 at least one double UK rollover (excluding tonight’s draw) This is producing record breaking lottery ticket sales for Camelot, who have decided to make the eurolottery even harder to win.
Yes that’s right Camelot and the other founding members of the euro-millions game want us to get even more Rollovers, with even bigger jackpots. So it’s all change in eurolottery land from Tuesday May the 10th 2011, when a new Tuesday euromillions draw is introduced, along with an increase in the number of lucky stars available to choose from.
Yes instead of players picking 2 stars from 1-9, they will now need to chose 2 numbers from 1-11. This is designed basically to make the game harder to win, to give lottery players more rollovers and more importantly bigger jackpots to be won.
At the same time though, euromillions is also getting an additional prize category for matching just two main numbers. It is yet to be confirmed however this is believed to be worth ?3 per winning ticket.
Euromillions will remain the same price ?2 or 2 euro’s, and the UK version will still keep the millionaire raffle game guaranteeing one UK Millionaire per draw. And this Friday we have a euro-millions lottery rollover worth ?25 million.
