Getting America Back on Track
Steve Daines is a fifth generation Montanan with roots in the state going back to the turn of the century. He’s a family man, married to his wife Cindy for twenty four years with four children ranging in age from 14 to 20. Steve Daines is a businessman, having worked for Procter & Gamble for thirteen years and RightNow Technologies in Bozeman since 2000. After spending the first half of his career at Procter & Gamble in the U.S., Steve moved to Hong Kong to manage Asian operations for the company. He joined RightNow Technologies when the company had less than one hundred employees. The company now has over one thousand employees and is Bozeman’s largest commercial employer. He has always been a strong fiscal conservative with hands on experience in leadership, entrepreneurship, and creating jobs.
Steve Daines knows that America and his home state of Montana cannot afford to continue down the path of deficit spending and an exploding national debt. The time has come where wasteful government spending and living beyond our means has to come to an end. This country must commit first to accept only balanced budgets and then take measures to reduce our skyrocketing national debt. Steve’s formula is simple; a smaller government equals a stronger America. Steve has been quoted as saying, “As it’s been said…prior generations operated under the principle of ‘work hard, pay off the mortgage and give the ranch to the kids’. We live in a generation that’s mortgaging the ranch, and handing the debt off to the kids. That is flat out wrong.”
The time for America to get back on track is now. Steve Daines knows what it will take to do it.
