With offerings that include the submarine and pan flat sandwiches, salads, soups and breakfast, subway is appropriate for any meal of the day. Subway restaurants advertised as a low-calorie alternative to the traditional fast food. Although many of the meals of subway provide fewer calories and fat than burgers and fries, not every choice is low in calories.
Lower calorie options
Subway offers eight sandwiches with less than 6 grams of fat and less than 380 calories. Misconceptions
Although the subway provides various options of low calorie, going off the low content of fat menu means that you can take significantly more calories. The 6-inch tuna sub contains 530 calories and 30 g of fat. Other options higher in calories are the 570 calories and bacon ranch chicken, the feast of 550 calories, 520-calorie Italian spicy, 580 calories Meatball marinara and 520 calories Philly cheese.
