However, I found many people want to know how to paly JVC MOD files on Mac as below.
Q1: JVC camcorder (MOD files) using a MAC?
I have a JVC Camcorder that makes all the video files MOD files. I have a mac 2006 osx and I want to edit the footage using imovie, the problem is the MOD files are unreadable on my mac. I have tried looking for file converters but they all seem too expensive can anyone help me out?
Q2: I have transferred movie clips from my JVC Everio to my Mac, but my Mac cannot open the .MOD files?
I thought I could just transfer video on to my Mac then view the video on there, and maybe put on a memory stick to give to friends too. But when I click on the transferred file which are .MOD files I can’t view them. Is this just a Mac thing? Can PC’s view a .MOD file?
Luckily, a friend of mine recommended me a JVC MOD Converter Mac which he tried very great. I download the free trial and found it’s very easy to use, and convert JVC MOD to MOV, MP4, MPG, DV, M4V etc-the most popular formats on Mac. After converting, you can easily play your JVC MOD files on QuickTime or iTunes on Mac. Then I bought it without any hesitating. If you have the same problem with me, maybe you can try it. Learn the details about how to Convert JVC MOD to MOV! Hope to help you.
