Staten Island: new Toyota best in form of Camry
The other day while driving, I noticed a sedan out of the corner of my eye as it smoothly drove past me in the lane next to mine. Making a living in the automobile industry, it is not unusual for me to take note of vehicles, but this one struck me immediately thanks to its appealing lines. In an instant I was impressed and puzzled, wondering which luxury brand had come out with such a strikingly well designed vehicle. Thus, you can only imagine my pleasant surprise when I saw the Toyota logo on the back of the vehicle gliding past me on this road in Staten Island. New Toyota in the form of a Camry LE, to be exact.
Toyota has certainly hit the nail on the head with the designs of the new Camry and while a great exterior does not in itself merit praise to the designers, in this case Toyota executives deserve hats off for their continued ability to keep the Camry in the limelight in the sedan world. The vehicle has been for some time now, and still is, the best selling sedan in America. This year’s model’s new exterior sleekness is helping to keep the Camry in the number one spot.
Another fact keeping Camry so desirable for so many consumers is the availability of several different trim levels. To start, the attractive lines of the Camry are very accessible thanks to the entry trim level. This base model comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine in either a manual or automatic transmission for right around $20,000.
From here, there are four more trim levels available from Toyota. Staten Island residents looking for a slight upgrade in comfort and performance, while not breaking the penny bank, should look to the trim level just above the base Camry, the LE. With the LE, consumers can choose to upgrade to a V6 engine for a price just under $25k. Next, the Camry SE is very similar to the Camry LE but offers consumers a different combination of options. Pricing is relatively similar for the SE in comparison with the LE.
Moving up in the ranks, Toyota offers the Camry XLE. This vehicle starts to feature more luxurious add-ons like heated outside mirrors, Bluetooth technology and 16-inch alloy wheels. Consumers are looking at a price of $26,350 for this Toyota. Staten Island residents looking to save some green stuff on gas while also protecting the environment should look to the hybrid version of the Toyota Camry. The Toyota Camry Hybrid has a miles-per-gallon rating of 31-city and 35-highway, while still offering all of the comfort, performance and appeal that the Camry is known for. This vehicle starts at $26,675.
