Miami Beach Hyundai Genesis soon equipped with eco-friendly technology
Non-hybrid car drivers will soon have the option to jump on the green bandwagon with the introduction of Hyundai’s green navigation system. The automaker has teamed up with NAVTEQ, the leading global provider of maps, traffic and location data, to develop an eco-friendly navigation system. The technology will provide Florida drivers with a ‘green route’ in addition to the traditional shortest and fastest routes that conventional navigation systems provide. The ‘green routes’ will focus on enhancing eco-friendly driving practices and ultimately reduce fuel consumption.
Studies conducted by Hyundai and NAVTEQ compared fuel consumption when using the fasted route and the greenest route. The studies found that at least 6% of fuel was saved per trip when the greenest route was followed compared to the fastest route. As gas prices continue to soar, the technology couldn’t arrive any sooner. The navigation system will be equipped in all C-segment cars at your Miami Beach Hyundai Genesis dealership next year.
Hyundai is also developing more and more fuel efficient cars to contribute to reducing emissions and saving the environment. Available at your Hollywood, FL Hyundai car dealer, the Sonata has been praised for its excellent fuel efficiency and its outstanding performance. The car is rated at 24 mpg in the city and a best-in-class 35 mpg on the highway making the car ideal for Miami residents and other city dwellers. While most fuel efficient cars sacrifice performance for good gas mileage, the Sonata is not one of them.
The Sonata comes standard at your Hollywood, FL Hyundai car dealer with a direct-injection four-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 198 horsepower, more than any other four-cylinder in its class. Also available is the direct-injection 2.0-liter turbo-four which also delivers enough performance to appease any power hungry driver. Nicely balanced steering makes for smooth cornering and the firmer suspension allows for a polished ride on even the bumpiest roads.
Hyundai will also introduce a hybrid version of the Sonata sometime next year which is expected to boost fuel economy ratings to 37 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. Hyundai is also planning on integrating the hybrid powertrain into other models as well as other battery based drivetrains. Until these eco-friendly platforms and the green navigation system arrive, plenty of other green options are available at your Miami Beach Hyundai Genesis dealership. Whether on the market for a sedan, crossover, or SUV, reducing your carbon footprint is easy when opting for a Hyundai.
