Harley Davidson Motorcycles: It’s An Attitude Thing

It’s spring time again, and that means one thing – it’s time to pull that old chopper out of the garage and ride. And when it comes to bikes, there are no better bikes on the road than Harley Davidson motorcycles. For generations Harley Davidson has been an icon of the American dream. Harley Davidson bikes are about freedom, pure muscle, and the open road.

Harleys are some of the most popular bikes in America. Harley Davidson was one of the first mass produced motorcycle lines in the United States. Over the years Harley has built and image of power, elegance, and attitude. Time and time again Harley Davidson has proven it is and will always be the peoples choice when it comes to American iron. From the ‘road king’ to the ‘soft-tail’, you can always hear the blissful motors coming down main street. From classic designs like the pan head to the modern injected engines, Harley is about opening the throttle and letting loose. Harley Davidson bikes are great for riding around the country, the wind in your hair, and the sun on your back. For the latter day cowboy a ride on a Harley gives you a sense of riding off into the sunset on your trusty steed after cleansing the town of outlaws.

Hold on cowboy. Before you fire up your valiant steed,  you will need some Harley Davidson accessories. Harley Davidson isn’t just about attitude, its about safe and responsible riding as well.  Too many motorcycle injuries could have been avoided each year with the proper safety equipment. After all owning a Harley might be about attitude, but that attitude doesn’t have to be “irresponsible”. Having the right equipment makes all the difference. The first thing you’ll want to do is protect your body in case of an accident. You might want to start with some chaps, a  leather  jacket, and a good pair of gloves so the bugs don’t beat up your hands. (Ever met a bumble bee at 60mph – not fun). While helmet laws might vary state to state, don’t be a knuckle head – always cover your melon. As you put on your vest and your jacket, mount your hog and put the final strap on your helmet all that’s left to do is rev the engine and off you go. From here it’s sunset bound.

Its important to remember, there is an image that comes with owning a Harley. Owning a Harley says, I believe in freedom, I believe in cutting loose, letting go, and just enjoying the ride. Harley owners are proud to be American. They wear their patriotism like a badge – a 1200 lb badge of courage and brotherhood. That’s what owning a Harley is about. So strap on your helmet, lace up your boots, and put the throttle into high gear. You’ve got somewhere to go, even if that somewhere is nowhere at all. After all, it’s all about the ride.
