Small Wind Turbine Manufacturers

The wind power sector is gaining popularity as one of the best selections for alternative energy and is growing rapidly as far as the generation of electricity technology is concerned. The capacity of the level that has been installed has increased as an average rate of nearly 28% yearly. Wind power has pulled even with gas and coal fired electricity as far as the cost is concerned for those locations that are usually windy. One of best ways for investors to capture some of the windfall profits from this industry that is becoming more and more popular is for investors to buy stocks from small wind turbine manufacturers. Another venture that is rather profitable is to buy some of the main components of the mechanisms of the small wind turbine such as the tower, ball bearings, gear boxes, and the carbon filters.

The production of wind power is ever increasing because the industry is continually gaining momentum and garnering media coverage. Although it isn’t as obvious, the manufacturer of small wind turbines that provides them to individual consumers so that they can be independent from conventional energy is resulting in also an ever increasing movement of these manufacturers.

Most small wind turbine manufacturers just don’t have the bandwidth or the purchasing power of the large wind turbine manufacturers. This doesn’t allow the manufacturers to have team that dedicated to the development of standard monitoring systems or to establish a meaningful relationship with the vendors of hardware and software. They might design a small wind turbine system for one customer that is completely a different small wind turbine system for another customer. There can often be logistical problems for small wind turbine manufacturers when they are managing information even though each manufacturer can collect and process all of the necessary data point themselves.

For the manufacturer of small wind turbines, the management of remote turbines represents a difficult challenge, although it isn’t nearly as difficult for the manufacturers of large wind turbines. Small wind turbine manufacturers are well prepared to determine all of the technical problems they encounter with small wind turbines that they install much the same as large wind manufacturers. The difficult part is the monitoring of the wind turbines while the easy part is the maintenance of the wind turbines. Since these manufactures work with various different customers, when a turbine is offsite, connecting a turbine to a monitoring facility can be very difficult.
