NBA Playoff Picks
The NBA Playoffs are kicking off and in great fashion. The best and brightest basketball stars are coming out to prove themselves. From the newly minted Miami heat superstars with Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, and Lebron James trying to pull in their first championship in their first year as the Miami Trice but the public wants to know is it possible?
One sports handicapper is being featured on ESPN and Fox Sports to talk about his strategy for service plays for the 2011 Basketball playoffs. That man is Mike Cooper of Cooper’s Pick. Mike the guy most famous for winning the Las Vegas Sports handicapping challenge thinks that there will be a lot of near upsets in the first round and to look out for the easy winners. Betting against the spread will certainly give you a higher payout but looking at moneyline games to start the post-season off is often a safer bet to make until you can get a feel about how the players are doing since the last few games of the regular season are often filled with players that are lackadaisical because they want to rest for these big games.
Jalen Rose and the Chicago Bulls face off against the Indian Pacers and should be able to cruise through the first round no problem. The 76ers should be putting up a decent fight but will succumb to a defeat after 6 games. The Knicks are looking to make a statement with Carmelo Anthony and Stoudamaire on board and the Boston Celtics are hit or miss so look for a possible upset in this first round matchup.
Orlando Magic is a solid team and will not lose the the Atlanta Hawks but against the odds you will see some amazing hoops action that may tire the Magic squad out for when they head to the 2nd round.
All is quiet on the western conference front or is it? The San Antonio Spurs we’re the best team this season and will let the Memphis Grizzlies know that right away in the first round. The lakers are well the Lakers and nobody will stop Kobe Bryant so the New Orleans Hornets will try but probably be swept due to such an experienced team when the playoffs come around. The Dallas Mavericks we’re the second best team for most of the season in their respective field and Portland will give them a good battle that we should all be watching out for. The Oklahoma City Thunder is perhaps the scariest team due to Kevin Durants abilities to hit the deep three pointer and to score in the paint, while the nuggets are a talented team but don’t expect them to fly past this southern team.
All in all expect energizing action and games that come down to the last free throws with a lot of hard fouls and slam dunks all the way up to the championship game.
The NBA Playoffs offer a lot of great action and exciting games. Get the best in NBA playoff picks from Coopers Sports Picks the winner of last years post season basketball challenge.
