Video Test for Galaxy Tab – Different Bitrate with Different Size But Similer Visual Effect

With the support for 1080p HD video playback, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is really an amazing tablet on the market. But, like other Android devices, the Galaxy Tab has a limitation that they can’t support a single file over 4GB. So if you want to enjoy HD videos on Galaxy Tab, the file size will be a big problem.

In order to get the best visual effect on Galaxy Tab, we have tested four video files that can be played on Galaxy Tab by importing them to Galaxy Tab for playing with its native media player. all the files are in the H.264 MP4 format, with the same video resolution and frame rate but different bitrate (from 1000 kbps to 30000 kbps).

As you know, the higher bitrate, the larger file size. Each individual file we have tested is under 4GB. It improves that all the four files can be played on Galaxy Tab. What’s more, there is no clear difference when playing them on Galaxy Tab at the visual point. That means the video bitrate can’t seriously affect video effect on Galaxy Tab.

If you want to free space of Galaxy Tab, you’d better set lower bitrate to get Galaxy Tab supported video with smaller file size. For those unsupported video formats such as TiVo, MKV, MTS, MOV, VOB, MOD, EVO, etc, you can use Foxreal Galaxy Tab Video Converter or Foxreal Galaxy Tab Video Converter for Mac to convert them to H.264 or MPEG4 MP4 compatible for Galaxy Tab.
