NovaRapid FlexPen contains rapid-acting insulin which is prescribed for managing diabetic conditions of patients suffering from type I and II diabetic. Usage Instructions for the Diabetic Pen

- Press the push button completely in and pull out the needle after a slow count of 6.
- Press the needle hole down with a finger or cotton swab.
- Dispose the needle after usage.
Precautions When Using NovaRapid Flexpen
One of the possible risks is injecting an overdose. This can result in hypoglycemia or the blood sugar levels going below acceptable levels. Being aware of hypoglycemia symptoms is very important for not only the patient but also relatives, care givers, co workers and friends of the patient who can do the needful to help the patient recover from this condition. Most common symptoms include fatigue, tremors, drowsiness, weakness, vision change, pale clammy skin, nausea, and rapid heartbeat. The patient should eat or drink something sugary or, if unconscious, should be given a hormone glucagon injection immediately. Emergency help might be needed if speedy recovery from unconsciousness is not achieved.
Taking precautions as not to inject the same site every day in important. Being alert to allergic reactions as shortness of breath, swellings, rashes and itching is important, if the drug is being administered for the first time. If the content is discolored, looks to be frozen, cloudy or any sediments are appearing, it should be disposed of and not used.
