Letting Go Of Habits
We all walk through life differently, seeking different options and looking in different directions, but there is one thing we are all the same at and that is how we believe in ourselves plays a huge role in our success as a person. In letting go of old habits, we are releasing something that is not only old, but no longer a part of us. It is just a habit that has been formed, a pattern that has been given strength and is no longer serving a purpose. All habits are an occurrence given strength by our previous behaviors. When we look at ourselves this way, when we learn to see our habit as something formed and not given we can address it more honestly. We are not without control upon ourselves.
How we create our world around us is a key to our happiness. When we struggle within our own behaviors we then become locked into a path which is no longer open to what is real. Any habit, whether it is smoking, overeating, looking elsewhere for something constantly, or other behavior is given to ourselves as a choice. We begin it, thus we can finish it. We are no more stuck with one of our behaviors than that of another. We can choose at any point in life to become our own leader, our true self, and give up that which we no longer need or desire from within.
Any behavior is truly releasable. It really comes down to acceptance, not in that you are stuck with it, but that you can let it go. Many people like to think they are powerless within themselves to stop something they no longer want or need. This could not be further from the truth. We all have the capability to do so, to release and let go. What it fundamentally comes down to is whether you believe you can, that you will, and that this behavior or habit that no longer suits you is no longer a part of you. Our path in life is not about resistance, but growth, and the more we let go the further we can grow, the further we may reach into our own future. To give up an old habit is to believe in yourself, that you can accomplish your goals, that you and no one else has this control over your life. The ability to change ourselves is the only amount of control that we actually do possess, so express it, enjoy it, and release the habits that have been holding you back.
