Printable Coupon for Olive Garden

Last weekend my family and I ate at our favorite Italian restaurant, and were able to get the most out of a printable coupon for Olive Garden. It was getting late in the day after doing some shopping, the kids were tired, and there were no plans for dinner at home.

I had been craving Olive Garden the day before, but always have a hard time justifying going out to eat as opposed to staying home, saving money by eating something in the fridge. Out of curiosity, I had started looking around for a printable coupon for Olive Garden. I had never seen them, but figured there had to be something out there that would help me save some money at be able to justify the expense.

While searching the internet for a printable coupon for Olive Garden, here is what I learned.

– The restaurant does offer specials. Although they are owned by the same company Red Lobster is (Darden Restaurants), they don’t have nearly as many coupons available as Red Lobster. Red Lobster seems to run a special of some sort almost all of the time. Olive Garden does not run continuous specials, or ad campaigns in news papers, or online.

– Many people sell their coupons at online auction sites like eBay. This can often be a goldmine for printable coupons. Usually the asking price is very low on these (sometimes less than $1.00), and some will deliver the coupons digitally, meaning you can just download and print the coupon after purchase.

– Being a member of the Olive Garden website can be a great source for Olive Garden coupons. If you go to their website and join their mailing list, you will be happily surprised. Just a few minutes after I had signed up to the mailing list, I received some helpful information about new menu items at a restaurant near me. They also sent me a printable coupon for Olive Garden, which I promptly printed out, and stuck in my wallet. This is almost like printing money. The coupon was for $4.00 off of any menu item. I hear they also send out Birthday vouchers that are worth quite a bit more than four dollars (I will be waiting for that one).

Having the coupon in my pocket, there was a reason to go to Olive Garden, so we stopped in for a wonderful Italian dinner. Since we beat the dinner rush, we were able to be seated immediately, and ordered food shortly after. The service was very attentive, and had a server in training helping us for most of our meal. On the down side, the server had forgotten to put the appetizer in, and it came out a little late. After eating, the manager came by our table and thanked us for coming in, and apologized for the appetizer coming out late (which wasn’t really a big deal), and comped one of the entrees. Now the bill was considerably less, and I had an extra $4.00 coupon for the meal. Needles to say, the meal was very inexpensive, and the coupon was great to have. I will be sure to have a printable coupon next time we go.
