Why Quit Going to the Gym?

Treasure your body as your IPOD. Working out will give you many health benefits and allow you to release stress. It can give you those 8-pack abs you have always wanted, or maybe lose that extra 100 lbs on your belly. These are some of the reasons how people get into gym.
But after going to the gym for a couple of weeks, people quit. Why? First of all, going to the gym is dull. Each single session, you follow your routine, think about why it is taking too long to lose weight. And admit it, barbells and stationary bikes are not really that fun. Second, it gives us body pains. Every time we go to the gym, we strain our muscles; and wonder why we go there in the first place. It seems like we are better off not going to the gym. Lastly, we do not understand our own body. We take things for granted. We do not respect our body, so this mistake shows in our physical appearance. This last reason is the most dangerous of all.

Before going to the gym, we should first ask these questions to ourselves. Are we lazy? Can I do it? Think about why and how you would reach your goal and then decide. The gym may sometimes be a boring place, but it is only as boring as you. Try to observe the people around. Find someone to look up to and maybe ask for some tips. I am sure there are always pros around a gym. You overworked your muscle and got muscle pain, so what? It means you are breaking your limit. Just continue what you are doing, and when you look into that mirror, you will see a better person. You may ask how do some people remain fit while doing no exercise at all? The answer is genes and lifestyle. Do not compare yourself with others, you have been given a different set of genes and it is your duty to take care of it. At times it maybe the genetics talking, but most of the time, your lifestyle dictates your fitness level. If you do not respect your body and munch all the donuts you see, guess what, you will end up big fat lard. That is what I am trying to say all along. Respect your body and good things will follow.

Now, do you know why you should go to the gym? The fact that you are reading this is enough reason. In our time when things are based on looks and health, why should you be the outcast? Everyone has the right to be fit and healthy. What are you still waiting for? Go to your nearest gym, you can even invite some of your friends. Be the person you have always wanted to be
