Letter from American Airways
What do you get through the post? I mostly get bills and junk – nothing terribly interesting or exciting. In fact I used to loath the letter box going. The slam of metal against wood would tell me that I had to part with more of my hard earned cash paying out yet another utility bill.
So you can imagine my surprise when I received a letter from American Airways. At first I thought it was merely promotional junk – but then I took the time to look a little closer.
American Airways had written to tell me that I had been pre qualified to win two tickets on their planes. Now, I thought there must be a catch – just one way tickets perhaps, or a massive tax fee, but there wasn’t a catch. I had simply been given the opportunity to win two round trips airline tickets with American Airways. Not only this, but the tickets were to anywhere in America.
I have to say I was still doubtful – I mean, I am an optimist, but I could just imagine how many of these letters had gone out, not to mention that I don’t win stuff…or at least I didn’t, until American Airways.
A few months after having received the pre qualifying letter, I have to say I had forgotten all about it. With the hustle and bustle of my hectic life, it is no real surprise. Imagine how shocked and stunned I was when I realised that I had actually won these two round trip tickets! I was lost for words.
The tickets were indeed free – it wasn’t a mean prank played on me by my family or a scam. Two round trip tickets were mine! All this from a letter from American Airways that I could have just tossed into the trash!
I still can’t quite believe my luck – but American Airways have restored my faith in my own luck and the generosity that large companies can show to the general public. Now when my mail arrives, I rush to get it – you just never know what you are going to get delivered and to all those other lucky people out there who have got a pre qualifier letter – keep the faith! It could be you next! My letter from American Airways has really given me a boost – who’d of thought that a simple letter could bring so much joy?
