Free Fuel for all
As I was eating my breakfast this morning, I almost choked on my toast while reading the newspaper. I read an article that said ‘free fuel for your Toyota car’, so I thought I can get free fuel for my used Aygo in Newcastle but unfortunately I almost died for no reason. Toyota is offering free fuel with any new Toyota Yaris that is ordered between 1st – 30th April 2011 and is registered before 30th June 2011.
The offer is for six months free fuel that is worth more than £500 at the pumps, which is enough to cover around 5000 miles with the 1.0 litre VVT-i petrol model. Customers of the New Toyota Yaris will receive a pre-paid card with the total value of £548.15, which is calculated on a fuel price of £1.336 per litre, 55.4mpg combined cycle economy and 1,000 miles driven per month. The pre-paid card can be used with a PIN to pay for fuel at any UK retailer.
Matt Harrison, Commercial Director, said: “With the highest petrol and diesel prices we’ve seen for years, it’s the perfect time for Toyota to take the initiative and give our customers a benefit that’s of real value day-to-day, thanks to their Toyota Optimal Drive powertrains, Yaris petrol and diesel models are among the most fuel and emissions-efficient in their class, so even when the free fuel has been used up, they will be costing their owners a lot less to run than many of their rivals.”
