The Buying Solutions Framework Agreement
Buying Solutions which is a part of the Efficiency and Reform Group within the Cabinet Office has awarded KIA a place on the vehicle framework agreement, which will allow KIA to offer vehicles to central government departments and other public sector bodies such as NHS Trusts and local councils.
As the public sector has a fleet of over 100,000 cars, this agreement gives KIA the opportunity to reach new fleet customers. KIA’s entire range will be available through Buying Solutions, from the Kia Picanto city car to the New Kia Sorento. There are a lot of benefits to the KIA range, such as green fuel efficient and low CO2 emissions technologies, as well as safety features such as ABS with EDB, up to six airbags and active headrests, with most of Kia’s range having received the full 5 star NCAP rating.
BIK and write down costs are important factors for fleet buyers and the Kia Cee’d range is available with variants emitting 110g/km which qualifies them for 100% write down costs. Later this year, the Kia Picanto with CO2 emissions of 99g/km and the new B-segment Kia Rio will be available with a 1.1 CRDi engine that offers 85g/km of CO2 and 88mpg.
John Hargreaves, Head of Fleet and Remarketing at Kia Motors, commented: “By working closely with Buying Solutions, Kia will reach a wider fleet audience within the public sector, and will be able to offer corporate fleet loans to sector departments. Kia’s participation in the Buying Solutions Framework Agreement is timely as it will give Public Sector fleets the chance to take advantage of our excellent value for money sales proposition.”
