Pirates of the Caribbean Love Ed Hardy
The movie Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strange Tides held its new conference on May 14th, 2011 in the 64th Cannes filmfeast, France. The director Rob Marshall and protagonists: Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Ian McShane and Sam Claflin took part in the conference and propagandized their new movie.
All of them wore somewhat formal except Johnny Depp. He wore casual clothes, Ed Hardy Jeans, round hat and sunglasses. He said he loved Ed Hardy clothes when he was young. He was a bad boy and played music band when he was very young. Thus Ed Hardy’s decadent and dissipated style was his cup of tea. He often chose all kinds of Ed Hardy collections and collocated with each other as he like. Although he had turned into a good husband and a good father now, he could not change his appetite.
Also, the beautiful actress, Penelope Cruz, who wore a somewhat formal dark blue dress, express her preference of Ed Hardy. She said she loved to wear Ed Hardy Swimwears when she had a holiday on the beach. This sexy Spanish beauty looked hotter in Ed Hardy Swimwears. She said she even tried her new Ed Hardy Gray Spandex Women Swimwears during the film shooting because the plot where they shot their film was dramatically beautiful. She also joked that the classic pattern of Ed Hardy-skull was the symbol of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Even the director Rob Marshall said he preferred Ed Hardy clothes with skulls. He once had a research on the skull pattern of Ed Hardy clothes from hoodies to polos and tried to figure out the difference and similarity of different models. Then he created the pattern of his own skull as the symbol of Pirates of the Caribbean. Of course his skull, which wore a red hood and chain decoration just as captain Jack did and two crosses swords on the back, was more horrible and accorded with Caribbean feelings. He implied that the inspiration of many clothes or other props he designed came from Ed Hardy because the dark and cool feelings just accorded with the tone of his film. He even joked that if his movie broke through the box, he would award his team limited edition Ed Hardy clothes.
