For most all of us, we have an extra (or possibly more) mobile phones just laying around that we never use. The reason is simply – we have upgraded to a bigger and better mobile phone. This is actually against the law and you can get into a lot of trouble. Why? This is because of the different non perishable metals and plastics inside the phone. Beyond the landfills you also have to consider that when you throw your mobile away, it’s chemicals COULD end up leaking into the nearby water supply. It’s estimated that one mobile phone that is incorrectly disposed of and ends up in water could pollute as much as six hundred thousand litre!
