Air Gear Manga Still Going Strong
Once in a while a manga is released which seems to only increase in popularity. Considering the many adaptations and continued releases, Air Gear Manga more than qualifies. It was first released in 2003 and is still going strong. It has been adapted to anime, and can rightfully boast of twenty-three volumes. In total there has been twenty-six of the anime adaptation, and has even been made into a musical. One of the reasons for it’s continuing popularity is Gear’s focus on skating and rollerblading.
Air Gear Manga includes some equipment which is well known in the world of skating and rollerblading. For instance, there is a type of inline skate which is called “Air Tracks”. These skates are motorized and considered to be very expensive. In reality, those involved in inline skating have their own network, community, which is considered by many to be a sub-culture in itself. Those who use the Air Tracks are among the most noted in that culture. As you know, there are video games available which are based upon all types of sports and activities. Skating and rollerblading are no exception. There is a video game called “Jet Set”. Air gear is said to be much like the game.
