Hong Kong is clearly one such destination. What makes Hong Kong risk free to most investors is the stability offered by the city in all aspects of living in Hong Kong. Whether it is from an economic point of view, political point of view or while looking at Hong Kong’s society, in all aspects the city is extremely stable. Hong Kong although being an administration region of the People’s Republic of China, follows its own economic and political systems. In fact Hong Kong is known to have the freest economy in the world with the least possible government interference.
All policies created in the city are done so with immaculate planning and with a long term vision. There are no sudden changes in policies which affect businesses in Hong Kong. Also a policy announced due to which there was an increase in investment in Hong Kong is not reversed or amended easily if it means the investors would suffer. Hong Kong’s government has been able to continue with the economic policies year after year and incorporate new laws which directly benefit economic growth and investment. Foreign investors feel that they have the best chance of a higher return on investment due to the stability in Hong Kong.
While the economic recession of the past few years meant a lot of changes in policies in the west, Hong Kong continued with its aggressive stance on encouraging businesses and lowering the corporate tax rate. These kind of bold and aggressive moves have not only helped businesses in Hong Kong but also attracted the attention of entrepreneurs from world over who are constantly looking at new destinations for their business growth.
