Commonly spotted animals in this park include leopards (found in hilly areas & low land jungles), fishing cats, jungle cats, leopard cats, barking deer, sambar deer, hog deer, spotted deer, black buck, sloth bear, Himalayan black bears, goat-antelopes, antelopes, Indian grey mongoose, langur, monkeys, Indian pangolins, yellow-throated martens, otters, etc. In summer, season, you can see herds of several hundred elephant.
Travelers can enjoy best of wildlife tourism at Corbett National Park by jeep safaris or elephant safaris. Elephant safari is most preferred way to explore the jungle. Dhikala, Kalagarh Dam and Garija Temple are also worth visit on Corbett tour. Kalagarh Dam is an ideal place for birding. Travelers can also enjoy trekking around the park with a guide. The best time to visit this famous wildlife park is mid November to mid June.
