3D-Printing – Colored Printing Can Bring Revolution
The 3D-printing is an advance technology. It is basically a type of additive manufacturing technology. It is a method in which three dimensional objects are developed. By laying down the successive layers of material on the structure, one can get the required item. The 3D-printers used for this purpose are not just faster but affordable too. They are easier to use than the additive manufacturing technologies. This machine provides the users with wide range of facilities. It offers the ease of developing the product in small parts, then assemblies are made. They are of several materials each having different physical and mechanical properties.
After a long research, much advancement has been added to this technology. The advance 3D-printingtechnology produces the models that are closer to reality. They closely emulate the look, feel and functionality of the product prototype. The 3D printer performs in a step by step manner. It takes the 3D file from computer, use it to copy the sample and make a series of cross sectional slices. An interesting thing is that each of these slices is then printed on the top of the other in order to create the 3D object. Researchers keep on improving the technologies. In context of 3D-printing, every week brings a new story about 3D printers. This topic remains under discussion. There are several methods used for the printing process. Each of them has its own traits. Manufacturers use them according to their requirement. Most of the 3D printers compile the thin layers of material to develop a 3D object. It works in a same way as done by the dot-matrix printer which creates the image on the page. This process of printing was introduced in 1990s. Earlier, in part it was due to five or six figure prices that the 3D printers commanded and in part it used to reflect the low quality results of the printers. It still worth a lot and its importance is increasing every day.
In past few years, the prices of 3D printers have reached at a much reasonable place. They lie in the range of 1000$ to 3000$ for the cheapest model. It is easy to use a color 3D-printing machine but they are very expensive. They are the part of latest technology. At the same time, the typical 3D printers are monochrome, until and unless you change your input plastic filament. Good news regarding color printers is that a huge selection of filament colors is now available in the market. It has come out of range of base colors. It now includes all glowing colors. A question is usually asked by the users of old printers that how can one change the color of the filament in the mid of printing? The solution is quite easy and doable. One can cut the filament and feed it in desired color while doing 3D-printing. This technique works but it is not considered ideal as users cannot estimate accurately when the color coming out of the nozzle will change. A frequent change in the colors can be problematic.
