New and improved Crossover
Fans of Nissan Quashqai might have noticed that the car has undergone a recent makeover which not only includes improved styling and interior upgrades but which also covers improved engines, lower CO2 emissions and improved fuel economy.
The Nissan Quashqai is a so-called crossover car and has been hailed as an excellent car for a family due to being both roomy and reliable. The new improved models now come with stop-start technology which means the engine will automatically stop when stationary in traffic and save 5g/km in CO2 output and also reduce fuel cost. The new 1.6-litre model emits 139g/km of CO2 which means an annual saving on road tax of £15 compared to the older models. The 1.5-litre diesel model is however the most frugal and returns 57.6 mpg with an emission of just 130g/km of CO2.
The Quashqai is on the list of UK’s top ten best sellers because it is competitively priced, offers relative affordable running costs, and comes with masses of safety kit as standard. The Quashqai frequently feature as one of the top five crossover cars on the market and compares well to other offerings such as the Volvo XC60 and the Peugeot 3008.
Although the new Quashqai is now equipped with 18-inch alloys and an optional Chrome Pack is available, if you can’t quite stretch to the list price starting from £16,295 you could always take it for a test drive and then opt for a used Nissan instead. If you’re in the market for a used Nissan, Altrincham is one place you will find a dealership.
